Xiaomi has unveiled its new Mi 9 Pro, a faster version of Mi 9 with a new chipset and internals. Mi 9 Pro comes with 6.39″ OLED panel with all new “professional” calibration and has an under-display fingerprint scanner.
The same triple camera system from Mi 9 fits on the rear of the phone. It has a 48MP primary sensor along with 16MP ultrawide and a 12MP telephoto lens.

The phone has a 4000mAh battery with 30W fast wireless charging. Xiaomi claims that the battery charges in 69 minutes on 30W wireless charging stand. However, with 40W wired charging, the full charge will take 48 minutes. It also has a 10W reverse wireless Qi charging feature, as we have seen in Huawei Mate 20 and Huawei Mate 30 series.
The new Mi 9 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 855+ SoC and comes with vapor chamber cooling support. Both 4G and 5G variants of the phone will be available with 8GB or 12GB RAM.
Not only this, but Xiaomi is also taking bold steps in the tech industry by chalking out a different path altogether. Along with Mi 9 Pro, the company also unveiled its Mi MIX Alpha — a smartphone with a display that completely wraps around the back. It comes with a triple camera system as well which has a 108MP primary sensor, 20MP wide-angle sensor, and 12MP telephoto sensor.

The phone will launch in China first. Mi 9 Pro starts at 3,699 yuan, which is approximately $520. The 8GB model will start at 4,299 yuan, which is roughly $605. Mi 9 Pro 5G goes on sale on October 31st.
