The short version: founders and communications teams can tell TechEngage® about a startup using the questionnaire below. Editors review every submission, but submitting does not guarantee coverage, and editorial coverage is never paid for.
We are interested in young companies building technology that ordinary people, developers or businesses will actually use. If your startup fits, the questionnaire gives our editors the context they need to judge whether there is a story worth telling.
What we look for
- A real product. Something launched, in public beta, or close enough to launch that readers can try it or sign up.
- A clear problem and audience. Who it is for and why existing options fall short.
- Something new. A distinct approach, a notable milestone, a funding round, or a result that is newsworthy now.
- Relevance to our readers. Consumer technology, apps and software, AI, security and other areas we cover.
- Claims you can back up. User numbers, revenue, funding and performance claims should come with evidence we can check.
What to send
- Company name, website, founding date and location.
- Founders and their backgrounds.
- A plain description of the product and how it works, with a demo link or test access if available.
- Pricing, availability and target markets.
- Funding status and investors, if public.
- Why now: the news hook or milestone.
- A media contact, plus any embargo date.

How we handle submissions
- No guarantee of coverage. We receive more submissions than we can cover and reply only when we plan to follow up.
- No paid coverage. Editorial articles about startups are never sold. If you want guaranteed visibility, that is advertising, and it is labeled as sponsored. See Advertise with TechEngage.
- Independent judgment. If we write about your company, editors decide the angle and may include criticism, competitors or open questions. We do not share drafts for approval. Our editorial standards and ethics policy apply to every story.
- Verification. We may check claims with independent sources, public records or users before publishing.
