For those of you who don’t know, Her is a movie that discusses the future of AI and its relationship with humans. It explores explicitly (Spoiler alert) the bond between Theodore, a sensitive man who is going through a divorce, with an operating system he just bought. The time set for the movie is future where PCs equipped with AI are very common. Theodore’s operating system is called Samantha. Not knowing what he signed up for, Theodore develops a friendship that only gets deeper with time.
The future of Artificial Intelligence has had us in wits for quite a while now. From Virtual Assistants to self-driving cars, AI has come a long way in a very brief time span. In the upcoming Olympics taking place in Tokyo this time, we will experience some of the intriguing wonders of Artificial Intelligence.
Talking about Samsung specifically, the company announced that it is building an AI center in Montreal to expand its research on AI in North America.
Seunghwan Cho, the Vice Head of Research at Samsung said:

“By leveraging the power of AI in Samsung’s products and services, we must focus on creating new values, never seen nor experienced before.”

We hope that we get to know about Samsung’s ongoing research on AI at the conference this year.
Until 7th November!
