We are just a few days away from Microsoft’s Surface Hardware Event scheduled on 2nd October 2018 in New York, and a new leak has made its way to the news.
So, here is good news for all those awaiting Surface Laptop 2 and Surface Pro 6; New leak unveils the launch of Surface Laptop 2 and Surface Pro 6 in Microsoft surface hardware event on Tuesday.
As the news hit the web, discussion regarding USB-C ports’ inclusion took the internet by storm. Before this, a German site WinFuture claimed that none of these laptops have a USB-C port in their structure. We found some Leaked images of Surface Laptop 2 to support this claim. The image clearly shows no USB-C port. The leak has it that Microsoft would be using its traditional Mini DisplayPort and Surface Connector combo for display and charging purposes for both laptops. Microsoft has not stated its choice of not integrating USB-C ports in Surface laptops. Microsoft’s decision of not including USB-C ports in its flagship products is not sitting well with many. Microsoft has a lot more to offer its surface fans apart from the USB-C port. More from WinFuture confirms that’s the base model for the new Surface Laptop 2 has the following specs:
  • 8GB RAM
  • A core i5 processor
  • 128 GB of SSD Storage
Whereas the previous models had 4 GB RAM. News has it that Surface Laptop 2, Surface Pro 6 would have 4 GB RAM and an Intel Core m3 processor. Microsoft is further reported to add a variant black model available only for pricey versions of the laptop. Let’s see how much the rumors go with the actual launch. Till then, stay tuned!
