AnTuTu is a global app to test smartphones’ performance. The test includes their hardware (RAM/ROM), display (FPS), Processor and GPU.

The company recently came up with their monthly report listing top 10 best-performing Android phones of September. ROG Phone by Asus took the top spot of the best performing device due to Snapdragon 845 (overclocked). Normal clock speed found in Snapdragon 845 is 2.8 GHz but in Asus ROG’s clock, the maximum speed achieved was 2.96 GHz. ROG phone also has a remarkable cooling system which is why it deserves to be on the top spot.

The second spot went to Black Shark by Xiaomi which was August’s showstopper. The third spot went to OnePlus 6 due to their stock Android experience and optimized software.
Keep in mind that these top smartphones are for September 2018.

AnTuTu statistical rules:

AnTuTu benchmarked these smartphones

  1. The scores are averaged, the results might vary with devices.
  2. The data was collected is between 1st September and 30th September 2018.
  3. The collected data is from at least 1000 units.
  4. AnTuTu Benchmark v7 is used for this data collection.

And the list of the top 10 best-performing phones in this test after running the above rules are:

The remaining high performing devices include Mi 8 by Xiaomi, Vivo NEX S, Oppo Find X, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s, Galaxy Note 9, Asus ZenFone 5Z. The list also includes POCOPHONE F1.
Huawei made new additions to their Mate 20 series this month powered by Kirin 980 processor. Kirin 980 is a strong competitor against Apple’s A12 and Snapdragon 845. Huawei claimed that Kirin 980 is more efficient than both of these SOC. We expect some tough competition in the ranking in the next few months.

We’re anxiously waiting to know how the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Google’s Pixel 3 will perform in the upcoming list. You can also read the ultimate solution to benchmark your devices.
