On August, Xiaomi confirmed that they will release the 3rd phone in their Mi Mix series. The date was not confirmed at that time. The company did, however, make an announcement of the launch of their new flagship device. Mi Mix 3 is set to hit the market on 25th October. The phone will have a sliding camera as per the teaser by Chinese social media Weibo.

The sliding mechanism of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is probably the same as Oppo Find X with a notch and 100% screen-to-body front with a sliding back. A video on YouTube is claiming Mi Mix 3 has a sliding feature like Oppo Find X: Xiaomi Mi MIX series has always offered a very high screen space. We can expect to see a button specially made for controlling the AI features. What other features the phone is going to have is still a mystery. Xiaomi has already started teasing the smartphone on social media. Donovon Sung, Global Spokesperson and Director of Product Management for Xiaomi, has posted an image on Twitter showing the upcoming Mi MIX 3 device.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 Rumors Specs:

The rumors on the internet confirm that the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 is likely to be driven by Snapdragon 845 chipset. Xiaomi has to keep up with the competition and thus offers 8 GB of RAM. The phone’s previous models had 64GB internal storage. In Mi Mix 3, the low-cost brand is expected to have 128GB. We can also expect a 256GB and 512GB variants in certain areas. In the display, we expect to see 6.4-inch AMOLED display supplied by Samsung. This will be the first Mi Mix phone to feature AMOLED display. The screen offers nearly 100 percent screen to body ratio. It doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor either on the front or back. The handset is rumored to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. The selfie camera and 3D structured light module for 3D facial recognition/unlocking will be placed on the slider of the smartphone. Further, the battery is expected to be around 3,500mAh. In the camera section, a dual camera sensor on the back with 16-megapixel primary and a 13-megapixel secondary sensor. On the front side, we are expecting a 20-megapixel sensor. For now, there is no information available on the pricing of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 but it should be approx $450. The launch date is confirmed so we expect to see more information from the rumor mill in the next few days.
