MIT
MIT is up for a huge Investment.

World’s top-ranked Information Technology university Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is planning to build an affiliated college solely for Artificial Intelligence research.

MIT has confirmed the planned investment of  $1billion for this project. This significant cash investment is going to fulfill the purpose of shaping the top-notch research institute envisioned to offer the best possible education to future AI and machine learning professionals.
MIT President L. Rafael mentioned in his statement.
“As computing reshapes our world, MIT intends to help make sure it does so for the good of all. The MIT Schwarzman College of Computing will constitute both a global center for computing research and education and an intellectual foundry for powerful new A.I. tools. Just as important, the college will equip students and researchers in any discipline to use computing and A.I. to advance their disciplines and vice-versa, as well as to think critically about the human impact of their work.”
The new center would facilitate the students to learn A.I and its integrated applications in a lot of fields including history, chemistry, biology, political sciences, and many others. Students would be able to learn Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and their coexistence. Reif showed his inclination to educate the “bilinguals” via AI, too.
MIT has set a budget of $1 billion to construct and equip the college with all facilities. Nearly, $350 million would be contributed by the private equity firm Blackstone and CEO Stephen A. Schwarzman. Not to forget that CEO Stephen A. Schwarzman is the person after whom the college would be named.
Schwarzman College of Computing will create 50 new faculty positions, initially. Half of the selected faculty is going to serve the computer science department while the other half would deal with other responsibilities. The first education program from MIT Schwarzman College of Computing is expected in 2019.
So are you waiting for the admissions to open?
