After the confirmation of the 5G enabled foldable smartphone, Huawei will announce Honor Magic 2 in their upcoming event on 31st October 2018. Honor Magic 2 is not the only device they’re going to launch. A newly released banner is indicating that this time we won’t see a new smartphone under Honor branding. Instead, Honor might release a new smartwatch.
Honor Smartwatch:
It is evident the poster doesn’t show the Honor watch too much. The two buttons on the right and the way they are positioned and angled. On the lower part of the watch’s frame
If we dive deeper into the guesswork we can guess the watch’s frame is made out of stainless steel, an OLED panel which makes it consume less energy. It will also most likely have a heart rate monitor as well.
Whether Huawei is going to provide its very own custom wearable OS to the Honor Watch or not, we are not sure. However, what we do know for sure is that the watch will not have Google’s Wear OS.
Some reports say that the new Honor watch will be same as Huawei Watch GT with just rebranding of Honor with minor improvements.
One thing is for sure, having an Honor brand will affect the pricing strategy and we could assume the new watch will be lighter to our pocket.
Let us know what you think of this smartwatch.
