Microsoft held a very special event today which we already informed you about earlier. In this event, Microsoft not only introduced Surface Pro 6, Surface Laptop 2 but also a Studio 2 which takes graphics designing to a whole new level. Microsoft also introduced its Surface Headphones.

Let’s discuss each one by one.

Surface Pro 6

As the name said, it’s the best laptop Microsoft can offer so far. It has Intel’s latest 8th-generation processor with an improved internal cooling system to keep the device cool under extreme use.

Microsoft claims that Surface Pro 6 is 67% faster than its predecessor. In this speed, you could expect a battery life of 13.5 hours which is satisfactory.

The device weighs 1.7 pounds (0.77 Kgs). The 12.3-inch display is what you get on Surface Pro 6 with up to 16GB of RAM and a 1 TeraByte SSD. It has the same external design as its predecessor Surface Pro. This means no USD-C ports.

Surface Pro 6 Full Specs:

Dimensions: 11.5” x 7.9” x 0.33” (292 mm x 201 mm x 8.5 mm)

Storage: Solid-state drive (SSD) options: 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB

Battery life: Up to 13.5 hours of local video playback

Graphics:  Intel® UHD Graphics 620 (i5) – Intel® UHD Graphics 620 (i7)

Processor: Intel® Core™ 8th Gen i5 or i7

Surface Pro will be released on October 16, with pre-orders to start today.

You can get your hands on Surface Pro 6 at $899.

Surface Laptop 2:

Microsoft claims that the Surface Laptop 2 is 85% faster than the original Surface laptop. Again, Intel’s 8th-gen CPUs is powering this device. Not only this, Surface Laptop 2 has the thinnest ever LCD on a laptop which could be a big selling point for Microsoft.

The hardware looks almost the same as the first Surface Laptop. No USB-C port sadly. The display is 13.5″, but improved 1500:1 contrast ratio. You could get 14.5 hours of battery life out of it on a full charge.

Dimensions: 12.13” x 8.79” x .57” (308.1 mm x 223.27 mm x 14.48 mm)

Storage: Solid-state drive (SSD) options: 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB

Battery life: Up to 14.5 hours of local video playback

Again, the new model will be out on October 16, starting at $999. The phone is up for pre-order starting today.

Surface Studio 2:

Don’t fall with the Surface Studio 2 due to its identical look to its predecessor. Surface Studio 2 is 38% brighter. We’re talking about 500 nits brighter than before and 22% has more contrast. The display supports DCI-P3 color space.

Due to being a multimedia machine Studio 2 comes with Nvidia’s next-gen Pascal graphics with 2TB SSD. There’s no option for the hybrid disk drive.

Surface Headphones:

Lastly, Microsoft wraps off its headphones in the Surface series. Surface Headphones connect through Bluetooth and have built-in noise cancellation with Cortona Assistant.

If you’re listening to the music and put off the headphones the music automatically pauses. The headphone is compatible with Microsoft 10, iOS, Android and MacOS.
