American automobile manufacturer Ford faced a recall due to the issues in the fuel tank. About 1.5 million vehicles had this defect that needed to be fixed.

The vehicle 2012-18 Ford Focus 2.0 liter GDI was built in Michigan Assembly Plant on April 13, 2017.

The maintenance team mentioned that the vehicles had a purge valve which gets stuck while starting the engine. They further added that the vacuum in the fuel system tank got deformed in the plastic fuel tank. This may result in a malfunction in indicator light or an inaccurate level of the fuel gauge.
If this problem gets worse, then this may lead to a car accident which is alarming.
To sort out this issue, Ford will try to fix the power control with the new software. This new software is designed to monitor the dysfunctional valve.
In addition to this, the team is also planning to replace the carbon canister, purge valve, and the fuel tank to ensure well-maintained vehicles to meet the customers’ needs. Luckily, there was no report of car crashes, injuries or the explosion of the fuel. So the quicker the company resolves the problem, the better.
This year, the company is fixed a lot of its models. Back in September, Ford recalled 2 million F-150 trucks due to faulty seat belts. In March, the company recalled 1.3 million Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ for lack of fixation of the steering wheel.
