An iOS 12 update is rolling out to fix charging, slow reception issues in iPhone XS.

Apple is rolling out iOS 12.0.1 which brings critical fixes for bugs that were noticed in iPhone XS and XS Max. The charge gate is trending all over the internet. It seems like Apple is hit with another scandal just like bend gate of iPhone 6. Some iPhones require users to unlock their new iPhone devices before they begin charging when they plugin in the Lightning cable. The iPhone won’t charge itself unless the user raises or taps his phone to wake up. It creates a severe concern for users who don’t look at their phone while plugging it in. Just like bend gate video, a YouTube channel Unbox Therapy explains the issue in detail in his video about charge gate.

Many users are complaining about this issue on Apple’s discussion forum that their new iPhones are having this strange issue that must be addressed as soon as possible. Apple quickly worked on the issue and the fix is now available in the iOS 12.0.1 build.
The new release also resolves Wi-Fi connectivity on the iPhone XS and XS Max. Previously, these phones were connecting to 2.4GHz channel whenever a higher bandwidth 5GHz channel was available. It ensures that you don’t have to face Wi-Fi connectivity issues with your iPhone. The new update also brings back ‘.?123’ key back to its original position on the keyboard.
The update is now available to install on your iPhone or iPad. You can find it by tapping settings icon and then navigate to General > Software Update. The update should be available for most, if not all iPhone users. These models should charge adequately now, and the Wifi reception should also work on both iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.
Let us know if this update works on your iPhone XS and XS Max!
