Music brings delight and a bundle of emotions with it. Users of Wear OS Watch were desperate to experience YouTube Music App without much trouble and inconvenience. After a lengthy and inordinate wait, Wear OS Watch users can listen to their melodious tunes and mellifluous songs via YouTube Music App.

Previously, they had to download the whole playlist to listen to the desired song. However, now they can access over 80 million songs via YouTube Music App with little trouble. Even the accessibility is made super easy by giving free access via LTE and Wi-Fi. The users of Wear OS can now enjoy uninterrupted songs and thousands of playlists via the YouTube Music App. The app has brought a lot of new features which will make the music a more fun part of life.

The streaming is ad-free and, on top of all the extraordinary features, the YouTube Music App supports Google’s Smart Downloads. It means that the users of Wear OS Watch just have to connect with the Music App and the rest of the work of downloading will be done automatically. To enjoy all these benefits, you’ve got to be a YouTube Music Premium subscriber. Let’s know more about the Wear OS and how the accessibility to the YouTube Music App can bring harmony to users.

The journey of Wear OS towards the YouTube Music App

The journey of Wear OS toward the YouTube Music App has many twists and turns. Wear OS Watch has only one native music streaming app which is Google Play Music. In 2020, Google announced it would close it down, leaving no choice for users but to head for YouTube Music App.

Surprisingly, the Music was not readily welcoming for them. The YouTube Music app wasn’t available on Wear OS Watch. This left the users with little to no choice but to listen to their favorite music. To make matters worse for the users of the Wear OS Watch, Google then preferred to create a YouTube Music App for Apple Watch leaving behind the Wear OS Watch.

Indeed, we can see that the changing dynamics in the technology have brought the YouTube Music to Wear OS Watch. Google didn’t launch the YouTube Music on Wear OS Watch until Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch 4 lineup last summer. After about a month, Google launched the Music app on Wear OS 2 Watches supported by Qualcomm Snapdragon 4100 chips.

Moreover, it only has limited access when offline. The most recent update allowing streaming of the YouTube Music App on Wear OS Watch closed all the loops and gave full-fledged access to the new world of music and thousands upon thousands of playlists.

Isn’t the update of allowing YouTube Music on Wear OS a little late?

Google is doing surprising things regarding innovation and bringing new digital watches. Last week, Google confirmed it would soon launch Pixel Watch. We don’t yet have the complete information about the Pixel Watch. All we can say is that Google didn’t ignore the Wear OS and worked out everything according to a well-thought plan.

Moreover, the Wear OS will come with more advancements and updates to enthuse and wearers. Besides, Google also announced the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 at the Google I/O 2022. This has more innovative updates, such as access to the payment cards, connectivity to the Google Assistant, and Google Wallet.

Such changes indicate that Google is taking all the steps preemptively to launch a new device. So, it is a possibility that Google is preparing the ground for the Pixel Watch.

Wrap up

With a fresh round of updates, Google comes with more great news for users of Wear OS Watch. The YouTube Music app will roll out two stunning features on Wear OS Watch. First, users of Wear OS could get access to the 80 million songs on YouTube Music App via LTE and Wi-Fi.

Second, you could add a new YouTube Music tile allowing you to watch the recently played playlists. There is a whole volley of new features, such as access to the Smart Download features, customized playlists, and much more. Google is bringing all these features possibly to announce the Pixel Watch for the cluster of customers.
