Apple is always innovative and adaptive. Due to the pandemic, Apple organized the previous two events of WWDC online, however this one is going to change now. Last month, Apple announced the WWDC 2022 event to train and educate the developers about the upcoming updates in the software and Apple devices.

As the situation around the world is improving due to fading COVID-19, Apple has allowed the developers to register to attend in-person WWDC 2022 at Apple Park. The attendees were selected randomly according to Apple and now they are also getting the invitation to attend the special in-person event.

You may have noticed that this year’s WWDC 2022 is also pre-recorded and online. However, Apple is inviting only a few developers to attend the in-person event along with Apple’s engineers and designers. The process of registration for WWDC 2022 was the same as the had been previously before the pandemic.

Interested developers had registered through the Apple Developer Website. Only one restriction was placed on the WWDC 2022 which is to invite only a few developers owing to the risk of COVID-19.

Special Event at Apple Park

Apple is going to kick off WWDC 2022 on June 6 at Apple Park. The WWDC usually showcases the updated technologies and software in iOS, iPad, and all other Apple devices. Developers along with the Apple engineers and experts watch the Keynote and learn a rudimentary understanding of the technology.

Moreover, Apple also organizes the labs, sessions, and lounges to engage the developers. Apple had opened the submissions for the event from May 9 to May 11. Now, the selected developers are getting invitations to attend the WWDC 2022.

Criteria to attend the WWDC 2022

The WWDC 2022 is free to attend and is open to members of the 2022 Swift Student Challenge, Apple Development Program, and Developer Enterprise Program applicants. Apple has sent the invitation to the selected developers only based on a random and unpredictable procedure.

WWDC 2022 and safety requirements

COVID-19 has ravaged the earth and shattered major businesses within a few months. So, Apple is conscious regarding the WWDC 2022 and taking extreme care to prevent any superspreaders from inflicting more misery on humanity.

Apple will allow only those developers who have a negative COVID-19 certificate no more than three days before the event. Masks are optional at this stage however according to the official news Apple will provide more details about it later.

Wrap up

Developers from around the world would have a chance to attend in-person WWDC 2022 on June 6. Invited developers will also have the chance to take a first-time tour of the new Developer Center at Apple Park.

This year, although different from the previous two years there is still an all-day online session with the exception that Apple is also arranging an in-person conference. Strict safety protocols and innovative showcasing of upcoming updates will further enthuse the audience and developers alike.
