Jody Allen will be taking over the estate of her late brother Paul Allen. For now, she’s just appointed as the executor of his estate. The family made the big announcement this Wednesday.

After the death of Paul Allen, there has been much anticipation about who will be taking his position at Microsoft. Had he had children, the answer would have been obvious. But Paul died without children and was never married.

His sister, Jody Allen, however, was involved in his businesses. It is believed she has little or no interest in the Portland NBA team the way Paul had for all these years.

In the announcement made by the family, Jody was declared as the executor and trustee of his estate as per his will.

In accepting these essential responsibilities, Jody Allen replied:

“I have been given the great responsibility to steward Paul’s wealth in service of his vision for the future. I will do all that I can to ensure that Paul’s vision is realized, not just for years, but for generations.”

She further added,

“Paul sought solutions to some of the world’s toughest problems, to celebrate the range of human expression, and to implement programs that effect positive global and local outcomes. While the loss of Paul is overwhelming, I am dedicated to preserving and implementing Paul’s vision. Paul made the world a better place. Through Paul’s generosity, and with the help and support of Paul’s friends, partners, and colleagues, the future will be even better. Paul’s light shall continue to shine.”

We wish Jody Allen good luck for her new role!
