Rumor has it LG is all set to launch its hybrid smartwatch alongside the V40 this week.
LG is all set to launch a hybrid smartwatch that would somehow combine Wear OS with an analog; mechanical watch face. We were expecting the launch of this masterpiece last spring, but nothing seemed to progress either with the rumors or the product itself.
We lost all hope to see the product launch any sooner until now. Yes, the famous phone leaks guy Even Blass has given out the news that LG is all set to launch this smartwatch along with the LG V40 ThinQ.
Blass hasn’t given out many details, but the expected specs are:
- 2-inch 360×360 display
- 768MB RAM
- 22mm strap
- Snapdragon 2100
- 22mm strap
- 4GB storage
- Bluetooth 4.2 but no LTE
- USB-C port
- IP68 weather resistance
The watch would provide the functionalities of a timer, a compass, and a stopwatch. The rumors have it that LG delayed the launch of their smartwatch to incorporate the new wearable Snapdragon 3100 processor recently launched by Qualcomm. This processor is said to have a longer battery life than any other processor to date. Keeping in view the watch’s mechanical features and the kind of processor picks LG is making, we are assuming that the company’s prime focus for the brand is on a long-lasting battery, which somehow is the most demanded feature. Keeping every detail into consideration, LG never fails to disappoint its followers. We hope that the wait was worth it.
Let’s see what the launch has in store for us!
